Boulder School Water in the Corridors
The busted restroom pipe led to several hours of unabated water flow into the hallways of this school in Boulder. The commercial grade flooring held up well; water did not penetrate through to the concrete base. We quickly vacuumed up the standing water, that was only about one inch high, with portable extractors mitigating water damage. We utilized, as shown, box fans, air movers (some heated) to circulate the remaining moisture on the walls and floor. Several high-powered, gel dehumidifiers then captured these water molecules, thus reducing the ambient humidity in the affected area. A day later, the maintenance crew started painting the hallway, and the serviced area appeared "Like it never even happened."
